Parent’s have many opportunities to be part of their child’s education here at Chavez by coming to things like:

- English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) 1x a month
- Parent Coffee Hour 9/4, 10/2, 11/6, 12/4, 1/8, 2/5, 3/5, 4/2, 5/7

There are also opportunites at the district level, such as the various Parent Commitee’s (AAB PAC, Latino PAC, General PAC, CAC and Migrant PAC) DELAC and LCAP Process.
As a Community School, we are committed to building meaningful partnerships with families and community organizations to support the whole child. Our Parent & Community Engagement page provides access to resources, workshops, events, and opportunities designed to strengthen relationships, remove barriers, and promote student success.
We invite families to stay connected, get involved, and collaborate with us as we work together to build a strong, inclusive, and supportive school community.
Our School Site Council elected to also serve as our Community Schools Committee in order to create stronger alignment between our school goals, student supports, and community engagement efforts. By combining these roles, the committee is able to streamline decision-making, ensure diverse stakeholder input, and coordinate resources more effectively to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students and families. This structure promotes collaboration, transparency, and a shared commitment to student success.
